What’s at Stake

What’s happening now?

For many years, we have known that services in Peel don’t get the funding they need. Now, a new report by Blueprint ADE has shown just how severely they are underfunded.

Peel receives $868 million less provincial funding annually for social services, which translates to $576 less per person each year. This results in reduced access and longer wait times for essential services like childcare, senior services, affordable housing, transit, social services, community health, and education. Peel deserves social services that meet provincial standards and adequate funding to address local needs.

The Metamorphosis Network remains committed to collaborating with the provincially appointed transition board and other partners to guide their recommendations and advocate for a new deal for Peel.

We will also continue to keep you informed about emerging issues and decisions during this critical period.
